Hawaiian Polo Collection
All-Over Hand-Drawn Prints
For six years, I developed resort-quality all-over prints for Crazy Shirts' Hawaiian Polo line, creating designs that celebrate Pacific Island culture, ocean life, and native Hawaiian vegetation. Each print began as hand-drawn illustrations inspired by the rich landscapes and traditions of island living—translated into wearable art on 100% pique cotton.

Every design started with cultural research and personal inspiration, followed by detailed hand sketches capturing authentic island motifs. I then rendered the artwork digitally, developed color palettes that balanced vibrancy with wearability, and created seamless repeat patterns for production. Working closely with manufacturers, I refined samples through multiple rounds—adjusting colors, scale, and fabric performance—before final approval for bulk production. Customer feedback informed future designs, creating a continuous cycle of improvement and innovation.
Daily Catch Print
Inspired by Pacific Islander fishing traditions and the natural gear used for generations—handcrafted hooks, carved spears, woven nets—alongside prized game fish like ahi (yellowfin tuna), giant trevally, and flying fish. This print celebrates the ocean as provider and the skill of those who know its rhythms.
E Komo Mai Print
A lush banana and banana leaf pattern honoring the Hawaiian tradition of harvest and hospitality. Bananas were brought as gifts to neighbors, shared at celebrations, and used to nourish families. "E komo mai" (welcome) embodies the spirit of generosity woven into island life. Printed on 100% pique cotton.
Six years of designing high-performing Hawaiian Polos that honor island culture, tell authentic stories, and sell consistently—bridging heritage with modern resort wear.
Waikoloa Print
Elegant hibiscus blooms layered over subtle kapa patterns in soft grey-blue hues with accent pops of golden yellow. Kapa (traditional Hawaiian bark cloth) patterns represent ancestral artistry, while the hibiscus—Hawaii's state flower—adds tropical vibrancy. A refined, modern take on classic island motifs.
Hanauma Print
Featuring inner reef fish found in Hawaii's protected bays: brilliant parrot fish, bright red menpachi, and the distinctive kala (unicorn fish). These are the best catches for beach BBQs—small, flavorful, and deeply connected to local fishing culture. This print brings the vibrant underwater world of Hanauma Bay to life.
